Endowment-What? Why?
An endowment fund is a permanent fund established by the Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Edmonton Area at the Edmonton Community Foundation where families can make a gift to it, knowing that their gift will be held in perpetuity. Only the annual earnings from the fund may be used to carry on Big Brothers Big Sisters programs and facilities.
It is the permanency of this fund that makes it so valuable. Only through a growing endowment will Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Edmonton Area friends know that Big Brothers Big Sisters’ programs will be assured for generations to come.
