Big Brothers Big Sisters

  Big Brother Big Sister Mentoring & TEAM Group Mentoring

• Children 6-18 years old.
• We get to know your child first so we can match them in the best program for them - Big Brother Big Sister or TEAM Group Mentoring.
• Big Brothers and Big Sisters share 2-4 hours a week with their Little Brothers or Little Sisters for at least 1 year.
• Sharing everyday moments - cooking a meal, playing a game or watching a movie - lets the child know they have a special friend.
• Big Brother Big Sister matches formally end when the youth turns 18, but many become lifelong friendships.
• The kids in TEAM Group Mentoring do weekly activities with groups of 5 volunteer mentors and 10 kids around the same age: floor hockey, fishing, canoeing, tobogganing, making crafts, baking cookies.
• TEAMs can be all male, all female or mixed.
• Our caseworkers will cheer you on and help you out if you need it!
• Once in our Big Brothers Big Sisters or TEAM program, children and their mentors are able to take part in our related programs and group activities, like our summer picnic, Christmas party, monthly craft night, archery and bowling, to name a few.
