Volunteers are the heart of our agency. Even if you decide now's not the time for you to be a mentor, there are lots of ways to get involved.

The Need For New Volunteers

We'd love to work with you to benefit both our community and your organization. You can help us help more kids if you:

Sponsor a TEAM outing or special event;
Offer your facilities for a group outing, e.g. fitness centre, commercial kitchen;
Host a fundraiser to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters;
Offer a discount at your place of business for our volunteers and kids - or donate tickets to events;
Donate food or prizes for our special events;
Help out at our Christmas party or summer picnic or other activities that come up from time to time;
Get a team together to bowl in our Bowl for Kids' Sake campaign in Lac La Biche;
Golf in or sponsor our annual tournament;
Come to our office to open mail or stuff envelopes;
Make our business cards available at places you go;
Put our ad or article in your community newsletter or company e-bulletin;
Include our card in mail you send;
Put up our posters - at your workplace, church or grocery store;
Ask us to speak to your workplace, church or social group

Fundraising

Fundraising is an essential part of maintaining the continued success of our agency.

Dream Home Lottery - You can help us by occasionally coming into our office to open mail, enter data or witness the big draw!
Casino - Once a year, our volunteers help out as bankers, cashiers and chip runners.
Bowl for Kids' Sake Campaign - A spring event where our staff, volunteers and supporters get bowling teams together and collect pledges from sponsors. Prizes, food and fun!
Golf Tournament - Spend a summer day on the golf course. Includes an auction, prizes and fabulous food!

Crafts

Crafts are offered on a monthly basis for our 'Littles' and 'Bigs'. Our craft program is led by volunteers and offered at no cost. Volunteers with a particular craft skill are always welcome. Call us for details.

Activities

Piano Teacher? Toastmaster? Coach? Tutor? Screened volunteers offer a range of programs and activities to our families. If you have a special interest, we're interested in talking to you.
